- Space Quest: Chapter I – The Sarien Encounter, commonly known as Space Quest I, is a graphic adventure game released in October 1986 by Sierra On-Line. It is the first game in the Space Quest series. It quickly became a hit, selling in excess of 100,000 copies. Total sales are believed to be around 200,000 to date, not including the many compilations it has been included in. citation needed.
Space Quest 1: The Sarien Encounter is an abandoned DOS science fiction adventure game, developed by Sierra On-Line, designed by Mark Crowe - Scott Murphy and published by Sierra On-Line in 1986. It's available for download. Space Quest 1: The Sarien Encounter is also part of the Space Quest series.
Gameplay
You can walk around using mouse or keyboard (do not hold down cursor keys). In case you are stuck, reposition yourself by doubleclicking.
Actions
Actions can be entered through the command line. Typing commands such as look around or open the door may sound familiar. In addition to this command line interface, possible actions for the current location are also available by rightclicking or by pressing '/'. More actions are listed under the 'more' submenu.
F Keys
Some scenes require pressing an F key. These are emulated through the 'press F Key' menu under 'more', or pressing CTRL + 1 (F1) to 0 (F10).
Saving and restoring
Sarien.net offers savegames through browser bookmarks. When you press CTRL + 5 (to emulate F5), or type save, the url in the address bar changes, and a dialog appears, asking you to bookmark the current page. The bookmark is your savegame. It stores your location, position, inventory and game status. Note that the visual state of objects is not saved, as this might exceed the maximum url length.
Locations
All in-game locations are available by url, or choosing 'select location' in the actions menu. This method allows you to start the game halfway, navigate back somewhere to get that specific item, hop back and continue playing.
Avatars
During gameplay you will encounter NPC's: non playing characters such as a dog, a robot or an alien salesman. With each NPC you encouter, you can take on its looks through the 'select avatar' action under the 'more' submenu.
Multiplayer
You play your own singleplayer game. Other players do the same, and when you are in the same location, you can see and talk to eachother. Note that the game status such as doors and events are not shared.
Typing a chat message is done by simply using the command line interface.
Singleplayer
A new 'disable multiplayer' option is now available under the 'more' submenu. With it, you can play without all those other players around. To enable it again, refresh your browser or visit the homepage and dive back in somewhere.
Known issues
Play Space Quest 1
Please be aware that the Sarien.net interpreter is not bulletproof, and games might not be completable. There are known visual glitches, functional errors and your browser might even crash. I am sorry that I have not been able to fix everyting up to a 100%, but I still hope you enjoy your stay as it is.

WolfQuest 3: Anniversary Edition
As of January 2021, we have released two episodes: Amethyst Mountain and Slough Creek, as well as the Lost River Classic map, for PC/Mac on Steam and itch.io, as Early Access.
While in Early Access, we are updating the game frequently with more features and multiplayer (available now for Amethyst Mountain and coming soon for Slough Creek).
Once the game is out of Early Access, new maps will be coming: Tower Fall and a new, expanded Lost River (DLC).
We are currently focusing on PC/Mac development but will turn our attention to other platforms once WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition is out of Early Access.
What is WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition?
WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition is a complete remake of the current game. The basic mission arc is the same. However, WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition has a new codebase and much of the core gameplay has been reimagined. We’ve rethought and redesigned each system of the game, from the wolf-controller to stranger wolves (both hostile and potentially friendly) to hunting mechanics to elk herding behaviors. We’ve made vastly larger and more realistic maps. There is new and improved 3D animal models and animations living in a world of more realistic terrain and flora. In every way, WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition is a bigger and better version of the original game.

Tower Fall Map

WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition will be followed by an all-new episode, Tower Fall, which will be DLC and will continue your life with pups. By October, pups look like small adults as they start the long, hard lessons of hunting and surviving. Your family pack will move south into the valley of the Yellowstone River. There, on the banks of the Yellowstone, with Tower Fall thundering nearby, the pack will stake out a new territory, protect the family from danger, and raise a new generation of skilled hunters.
The Tower Fall map will be an in-game purchase (DLC) and released after WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition.
New Lost River Map
We will be making a bigger, expanded, improved Lost River map — one that’s equal to the scope and quality of Amethyst Mountain and Slough Creek. This new map will be an in-game purchase (DLC) and released after WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition.
Note: Lost River Classic, the original Lost River map with just a few upgrades, but wrapped in all the new game systems of WQ:AE, is included in WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition at no extra cost.
